After getting the swag we moved down the line to get our instructions. It was very load in the room making it very hard to hear what was going on. The volunteers spent a good amount of time tryuing to explain the way things would work for all the rookies. All that effort didn't pay off we still had to wait for Tech Inspection.
Darrin saw a slot about 15 minutes early and slipped in. They were haded the final stickers to add to the car and we all gathered with family to take photos and such. After the car passed inspection the blinkers quit.
The boys let on the measured mile so Paul and I headed inside out of the heat to get something to drink. We were relaxing with a $20 glass of wine and we get a phone call to go get the truck and bring them some gas. After a few moments we connected with the race director and got a ride to trailer parking. Paul and I laughed over that all the way there.
We found gas and that didn't make any difference. Three hours later and three fuel pumps later we were ready to go.
