Celebrating Darrin in Gatlinburg

Wednesday, June 4 - We started our trip to the Smokey Mountains on Wednesday by traveling to Nashville to pick up Darrin's Parents. We spent the night and then headed to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg.

Thursday, June 5 - We checked into our cabin after a long search to find the cabin. The cabin was not marked with the number that was provided to us. We moved our stuff in and headed to get some groceries.

Just took a step b
ack in time at the historic Harrisburg Covered Bridge in Sevier County, Tennessee!

This charming piece of history, built in the 1800s, is one of the few remaining covered bridges in the state. Walking across its wooden planks and taking in the peaceful surroundings was like stepping into a storybook.

Going on a bear hunt...
Gonna find a big one!

Staying in a cozy cabin up on a hill perfect for spotting some furry neighbors. Let the Smoky Mountain adventure continue

We toured the Apple barn and had a little fun wine tasting. Even Mom got into it.

Friday, June 6 - We started our Morning at Mel's Dinner.

It was a cool place to see.
The decor was over the top but not the food.

Titanic adventure this morning was AMZING! Got to see actual artifacts up close. It's wild to think about the history behind each piece. The stories of the survivors were powerful and moving.

Just got back from the Smoky Mountain National Park and downtown Gatlinburg! From riding the gondola with breathtaking views to exploring the charming streets of Tennessee, we had an absolute blast. Can’t wait to go back!

We had a blast at the Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Show! Amazing food, hilarious comedy, and great dancing. I think someone wants to learn to clog.

Saturday, June 7 - Today, I celebrate the incredible man I’ve had the honor of loving for 29 years, 26 of them as his wife. You are the steady rhythm in my every day, the quiet strength that holds us together, and the creative soul that keeps life full of surprises. You work hard without ever asking for praise. You give kindness without needing recognition. You dream big, love deeply, and speak gently. Here’s to many more birthdays!

Started the rainy morning with breakfast at the Old Mill. Can’t beat their amazing jelly! Then it was off to forge an axe, followed by a scenic trolley ride to Gatlinburg and back. Now wrapping up the morning planning for some gem mining...fun and adventure!
