We set out to make the final leg of the journey to Independence MO. We didn't get far and Darrin could not get the Columbia to switch out of first gear.
Took a minute to figure out what to do but he got it. Of course we were in rush hour traffic so it was a pain to shift the gears manually.
We arrived at the show before 1 pm and took about an hour for us to get the rig positioned.
We checked in and saw so many friends right away. Joe and his wife Carol greeted me first. Then we ran into Kaye Moore.
Soon we had our stuff in our rooms and headed to the hospitality area. We soon ran into more people we knew.
We went down and had appetizers with Kaye and Joey.
We hung around the hotel visiting till dinner time. Then we ate supper at Twin Peaks. Similar to Hooters.
